Why no ChessBase for Mac?

Have to say It,s kind of bewildering  Bookup if it's not in the Apple app store & approved by them , Could become open to all kinds of unwanted problem 's .

Not as much as you might think. Apple's system for credentialing apps outside of its Mac app store is rigorous. The process is known as notarization. Most Macintosh apps are not sold by the Mac app store.
