I do hope that it's the pieces that are self-moving and not the boards.
Will these self moving boards work with chess.com?

update: don't know about early buyers, but if we buy in now, we get it in november! and they keep pushing out the date, but maybe it's really real this time
After I ranted on facebook to this company about a few things (marketing the product as if it is a typical retail sale and not a request to be a supporter of a crowdfunding campaign that is guaranteed nothing) i mentioned how important chess.com support is (i freaking love chess.com). here is the very promising response i got from square off
“Hi Elliot, we do understand your concern. we are working efficiently to get the boards to all our backers at the earliest. Also, we are glad to inform you that we have officially collaborated with chess.com. We look forward to you receiving the board and sharing your valuable feedback.”
perhaps those words are imprecise and murky .... but official collaboration sounds like chess.com implementetion will happen. Anyway, they are supposed to start shipping any day now and shipping times will take about 5 weeks.

Have these boards gone on general sale yet, I can't seem to find anywhere selling them?
I like the look of the Neo!

Yes, they have been out for several years now. There are many threads praising and condemning them. They work well for slow chess. (30 minutes and above.) You can't play blitz. They are reportedly noisy.

The Grand Kingdom and Kingdom models are already out, availability during the pandemic not sure. http://www.squareoffnow.com to find out. I have had my Grand Kingdom since they first came out. You need to use 15 minute with delay or longer it is true but I don't like 5 minute games anyway. I am terrible at that time control.. I have had mine since they first came out, I love the fact it resets the board when the game is done, call me lazy but after playing for an hour or so I would rather take a break while it resets the board. It moves your opponents pieces who else makes something that does that--------No One!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A true over the board experience. The company constantly refines the software.
I am also waiting patiently for two Neo's they are also making one called the swap. All kinds of improvement in the new units that were not offered in the Go Fund Me add back then. They will be faster and the Neo more portable,
They are compatable with chess.com, you do not need a squareoff board to play someone. You can download the squareoff software to your phone now and play games with those on the square off server or the chess.com server. It in the Google Play Store, I phone store as well
This is stupid... It's like texting the friend that's just beside you
