Hi All,
I am looking for a chess coach that would be willing to work with me in exchange for feedback on their lessons, reviews, or English language practise.
I am an extremely dedicated and ambitious adult beginner, I started 3 months ago and my rating is improving everyday (currently 1050 up from 800 at the start of my chess journey).
I am a 29 year old farmer with a baby, I am busy but I manage to find 2 hours everyday for chess. I am working through Silman's Endgame Course and 100 Endgames You need to Know. I really love studying the endgame. I also recently stumbled across The Woodpecker Method and have started the book 1001 Chess Exercises for beginners as my first set. I play e4 as white and as black I play the Dragon against e4 and KID against d4. Although the crazy openings at my level doesn't always make this possible. I analyse most of my games (without the engine) trying to find the point at which I went wrong and choose an alternative move. In the future I would like to create flashcards of these positions to review and prevent repeating mistakes - I got this idea from Stacia Pugh after listening the her first episode on The Perpetual Chess Podcast.
My original target was to reach 1200 by the end of the year but I now think that a higher rating is possible.
Please get in touch if you are interested in working together. Hopefully we can make it a win-win for both student and coach!
