Free Lessons for Beginners!!

Hello,

I'd like to offer some initial lessons to chess.com users (for free) in exchange for feedback on those lessons!.. to see if this is something I'd enjoy and would be able to do longer term. It'd also refine and improve my own understanding of concepts along the way.

I've improved from 600 to 1900 in the space of 18 months or so, and believe I could share some insight with beginners/improving players alike.

Ideal student(s) would speak fluent English, and can be available around 6.30pm to 8.30pm UK time (EST +5) and somewhere in the 200-1200 rating range.

Please let me know if you are interested and if so, what you're mostly struggling with at present.

I would be very interested, if I’m not too late in replying! I struggle mostly with recognizing what to do after the pieces are developed after the opening, and also struggle with recognizing mates. Further, I just began to play, and I’m not sure what I should be doing to improve quickly—I would like to learn from your example!

I don't know if you're still accepting proposals but I would also be very interested. I've came back to the game in mid December after not playing for years and after "peaking" (only at 867) I've been losing a lot of games and as a result lost most of that rating. I would say I've a ok understedment of the opening fase and struggle in the middle and end game

I don’t know if I’m late or not but I would be interested

No one is too late yet, but please specify some specific areas you believe you’d need help with. I’ll probably pick 2-3 people. Will message people during the week. Thanks!

I am interested and keen. I struggle mostly in finding tactics in game even though I find tactics while solving puzzles(even simple). I tend to be more practical and positional. Can you teach me how to assess a position for potential tactic and also piece values( How to make sound sacrifices in a game?)

Hi i am also very interested. I am very new to the game. I am mainly struggling with ending games and also opening at the same time. I believe my "midgame" so to speak, is pretty okayish. I am also interested in learning how to use the analyse feature properly. In the analyse section it sometimes tells me that a move was a missed win, but I can't reproduce that sometimes.

Is this still on ?

Hi there! I’m interested in chess lessons!
I am definitely a beginner and I have no idea whether I have potential, but I love the game and I would really like to be better. One of my major problems (besides everything) is that I start off pretty well, I often have the advantage, but then I blow it at the end. I don’t know if I get too anxious about winning? But yeah, I really don’t win that much though I think I play at my opponent’s levels in general. (I could be dead wrong about that, though!)
Anyway, I know you aren’t taking many people on and it’s free, so time is precious.
Just throwing my hat in the ring.
Thanks!

Oh shoot I'm late to the party haha I'd be very interested in free lessons. I need to work on openings, and making smart moves beyond simple piece threats. Other areas too, but especially these parts.
