Are you tired of getting checkmated by the scholar's mate? Well, look no further! For this is the forum you learn the most on the scholar's mate.

Now, most of you are probably in this scenario, So I have to ask you, What move should you play to block the mate and develop a piece?

Yes! Qe7 blocking the mate and developing your queen.

Now, what if they DO take the pawn? What do you do next?

If they take with the queen, you take it with your queen and then trade equal material by taking the bishop with your king.

But what if they take with the bishop? Now what do you do?

It's the same way! Just take the bishop with your queen, and the opponent will take your queen with their queen and just take back with the bishop.
