I guess it is 30$ per hour for FM, and rise as you go higher. I dont think it is easy to get coaching from a GM if you are not rated
Coach pricing?

That seriously makes no sense. $50 is $50 regardless of my rating right ?
I meant FM will charge around $30 per hour. Most of the GMs at least in India, dont take beginners as their student

Pricing is based upon life the coach's experience and living expenses.
Usually you get a discount for buying a block of your coach's time.(such as 10 lessons at once)
You're looking at $30 ~ $90 an hour, with most coaches in the $40 ~ 50ish dollar range.
Coaches do care about ratings, and you should too, because the skill to get someone from 300 to 1200 is a lot different than to get someone to go from 1600 to 2000. In fact, someone who only coaches 1600 rated players may not really have a lesson plan for 300 level players.
It is important to select a coach who has the most experience in what you want out of them.

what's the going rate for coaching. unknown. solid player. FM IM GM etc. I imagine there is quite a bit of variance in pricing. Just looking for average rates.
There are some NM's IM's and other titled players who charge $5-10/hour. I don't believe that the amount someone charges should be based on title OR rating. The amount someone should charge for coaching should be based on the quality of each lesson and what they can get from it, not a titled player throwing random tips and tactics at you. This is my opinion, but there are a lot of amazing coaches who are NOT titled, many are overlooked I'm afraid.
