The Knight

The comment on your profile - "Some days I play for blood; others, hemoglobin."
There's an American film called "The Crow". So I saw I fake promotion once:
"Some say the crow is carrying the souls of the deceased from This world to the Other...
Some say it's a bunch of bull..."
- The Cow - Coming soon to a theatre near you.

A mini-tactic I've missed, with no other than... the horse:
The "Coach" from Game Review told me that on move 13, that I could have played Ne4 (threatening the queen), and then Nd6+, making the enemy king uncomfortable. Mini tactics are desicive in chess. I didn't see it because I've had a horse-dream - to pin the queen and bishop on d5 (after moving the queen), and I was afraid of Qxb2, and I first protect my king and only then go for an attack.
[I've decided to publish this, so we could all get better with our horses]
Conclusions:
A. Don't get stuck in unrealistic horse-dreams, look at your current practical horse-moves.
B. You shouldn't be afraid of Qxb2 threatening to take the rook, when:
1) You have a check first [and the king can't counter-attack]
2) You can castle even after the invasion - Qxb2, connecting the rooks, saving the king.
C. General rules [13.0-0] are man-made, they aren't holy.

I've made up a lesson, and put it in the wrong place I suppose.
