The chess community lost the kindest person I've ever met. He was blamed for something he didn't do and was hated for telling the truth. But, he still tried to do his best, playing and teaching, at his worst moment. I think we neglected him.
I know there were people who tried to help him, but many of us pretended not to see what was in front of us. He needed us and we weren't here.
We need to be kinder to each other. We need to be more respectful. We need to help each other. And all Danya needed was kindness.

Rest in peace, Danya. You deserve peace.
