Sargon II on the Commodore 64 got me started in chess.

I went to the library and checked out chess books to try to beat the computer. Eventually I did beat it. It's 64 K, it's not hat hard.

That's strange.

A computer got me interested in chess.

I wasn't totally born in the real world.

I was also born in the digital age.

I just started playing on Lichess and I am hooked. The play is incredibly fast. Chess.com has more bells and whistles but Lichess is lightning quick. There are never any delays at all when trying to move, which is the intent of the site. Lichess is also 100% free and has no ads, which may be one reason there are no lags.
