1. a4: Best Chess Opening!

Well duskrevival, I didn't want to tell people this but... no, not even 1. a4 can guarantee a forced win for white. There is a secret weapon that black can employ, and it's called "The Dark Knight Counter"...
Scary, I know. How do we solve this?

rooperi... that makes it difficult to play the Na3 line... but if you're content with a positional game you can go Nc3, Na2...

This is the worst joke I have ever heard
Sandstreampop, once told, a joke is good, second time, it's just...

I think a4 is too aggressive for me. I'm more positional. Do you think a3 would be ok?
You should only play the 1. a3 move if you fear that your opponent is going to play the crushing Dark Knight Counter. In 1. a3 cases, the Dark Knight Counter will be a forced loss for black.
Impressive. The invisible pawn on e4 always makes me do strategical blunders. Nice line there.
Haha yes, many a game has been lost due to the power of this pawn. Some may say it is actually the most powerful piece in the entire game !

Well. a4 with h3 have got a secret, dark old secret called the knight catcher checkmate.
But cause only the good and the saints can use that I'll give it in puzzle just like my guru tells me.

Hey Sandstreampop,
I want to know when and why it was that Winston Churchill got chummy enough with Hitler to play a game of chess?

Homosapien: Thank you! I'm just passing on the knowledge everyone has the right to know.
hrb264: Have you seen the video where Anand checkmates Kasparov with his invisible e4 pawn? The reaction is priceless http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kZqcT66Fkzw
Dillydream: Oh, I think it was just after Franklin Roosevelt drew his famous game against comrade Stalin in Nagasaki, October 19 1945. Have you seen that game? Roosevelt plays a marvelous Na3 opening but Stalin fought on as black with 1... h3 and managed to draw. Beautiful game.
theRonster456: Ah, but you missed the knight that white has on g1!
Anyone who is listening to him is being tricked. Have any of you noticed that every move Sandstreampop says is forced isn't. I will give you an example.

Castle149, I am very disappointed that you don't see how all those moves are forced for white. It is very obvious that those moves are the only options for black in order to avoid death by pancreatic cancer (see my first post in the thread).
Also, Bobby Fischer never played 1. e4. He was the world champion! Of course, he played 1. a4!!.
Good luck, champ!
Well the lines you put down weren't forced either.
