After 1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 d6 3. d4 cxd4 4. Nxd4 Nf6 5. Nc3 a6 6. Be3 e6, there is a common position in Sicilian: Scheveningen. Here people play 7.f3 most. 7.a3 is  a small move which prepares for black's b5. I think this move can hold many possibility and powerful. I would like to share some lines here.

8. ..e5 doesn't work. So white can play 8.g4 after 7. ..b5.
If black plays 7. ..Be7...
8.Qe2 is important, which can avoid Ng4 and ready to 0-0-0. After 0-0-0,white can do some attack in the kingside and get a good position.
Do you think 7.a3 is a good move? I need some advice, thank you very much.

This is not the pure Scheveningen but mixed with Najdorf, I call it Schevendorf. blitz.pnggrin.png
