A variation of the Halosar Trap. Your thoughts?

Forget this opening. It is not sound, black has an easy game. If you cannot give a mate with the Halosar trap, then you lost. But the Halosar is not so good, you can easily prevent it.

Pfren, I am here on this website to learn, not to be talked down to. Sir, I would seriously suggest learning how to give positive advice and criticism. Not everyone is the chess genius that you are.
Keep your head up and accept each harsh advice that you get, these are what will get you far. Don't be a whiny baby boy, you should be ready for these kinds of criticisms since these will be the most helpful.

Well , I don't see what's so offensive in pfren's first post .. it's really funny to offer 5.Be3 with such confidence , especially when its such a huge blunder.
More over , I don't think someone should go for traps when he's just starting out (I am a total beginner myself ..) just learn the basics of development , opening , middlegame and endgame - these traps are "HOPE CHESS" , and they will not help you to get better at chess.

Pfren, if 4...Qxd4 then I would play it like this. How would you respond as black?
I would take on e3 with check, provided that I wouldn't die from laughter before being able to make my move...
Sir, I would seriously suggest learning first not dropping pieces and pawns on the move. If you ever learn that, then feel free inventing "traps".
it was a stupid move but no need for the insults

Genius ? If so he would be in London.Excellent yes. If black plays Qxp,QxQ,nxQ,be3,nc6,o-o-o,pxp,nxp------------he is not attacking u but more the game.

+1.
Over the past 9 years, I've gone from totally sucking at chess (hanging my queen every 2nd game) to partially sucking at chess (probably hanging a piece every 3 games :)) and honestly, warm fuzzy feedback was the last thing that helped.
When stronger players criticized (with varying degrees of sarcasm and insults thrown in) me, sure it stung but my brain tended to respond by actually following their advice and I remembered (for life!) what they said in 1-2 seconds more accurately than a week long nose-dive into a some fancy strategy book (where I forgot everything I read in less than 1-2 days after closing the book)
Enjoy the fact that a strong player has offered his frank (and sometimes witty :) ) opinion on things and take from it what you find useful and discard the vitriol.
Even in this thread : pfren did offer positive advice that seems to be lost on the OP.
My positive advice is: learn the absolute basics first, apparently you know little more than how the pieces are moving.

Or 4...Qxd4 5.Qxd4 Nxd4 6.Be3??? Nc2+ picking up the rook on a1.......

To everyone that has given solid feedback and advice, I thank you. To those that would rather have a laugh at the expense of a beginner, stop wasting my time.
Honestly, Pfren has given the best advice so far, but I feel certain you will ignore it.

With his stupid attitude I wish him luck getting past 1500 rating. He wants everything to be in his way, he's probably living his fantasy world where there are no wars and people always sweet-talk each other.
