How on earth does an opening like the falkbeer which puts two pawns in the center transpose into one of the most hyper modern openings
Any thoughts on the Bird's Opening?

nononono the KG Accepted: Modern defense

Ok my bad lol

i always started in Greenland in plague Inc so I didnt have to deal with it later
Let me guess you’re bad at the game

hey! well i only played it religiously in middle school so i dont really remember anything about it but that. you can add the cold resistance thingy i think

As someone else astutely said in another one of the many Bird's Opening threads: "Bird's Opening is not great, but it is not horrible."
It allows black to equalize instantly, so it's not as good as 1.e4 or 1.d4 (or 1.Nf3). But it has not been refuted.
If someone plays From's Gambit against it (1.f4 e5), white should just accept the gambit, and make black prove they have compensation for the pawn. Don't transpose to the King's Gambit by replying 2.e4 since the King's Gambit is (IMO) easily frustrated by 2...d5 (Falkbeer Counter-Gambit).
Thanks for the information.

I was wondering about that too, but didn't want to say anything since I don't know much about the Modern Defense.

Yeah turns out I just had a serious case of the stupids cuz he meant the kg line called modern defense.

Yeah, you won't be able to show your face at the pub for a while
yeah but most of the time the Falkbeer just transposes back into the Modern defense where white is pretty much equal if not better
