Best Opening?

i think white French defence and black Sicilian dragon
white English, black Sicilian
There is no best opening or everyone would play it. But some of them that score very well are the ruy lopez for white, the sicilian for black and the nimzo indian for black I think. It all depends on your playing style.

White: 1. Nf3 and then Reti or King's Indian Attack according to what black does and how I am feeling is best. It gives me greater flexibility but at the price of giving black easy equality.
Black 1. ... g6 no matter what white plays. This move reduces the amount of theory I have to know. Yes, I can look up the moves when playing here but I am lazy and prefer not to be trawling through books and databases for 10 or more moves. Again, I get flexibility and quite often a confused opponent.

I think for white the Scotch Gambit for black Sicilian.
