Caro-Kann - Some Dumb Trucker Defense - Hillbilly Attack Variation

Sort:

The "Some Dumb Trucker Defense" (Variation of the Hillbilly Attack) Instantly KNOCKS white bishop off the A2/G8 Diagonal, and stops the attack on f7 before it even starts!!! That is something that no other line accomplishes! It is better than every single move option black has and is tied for 3... dxe simply beautiful move that scores great that no titled play has played.. 3 ... a5 scores (-0.7) for black and every move other then 3... dxe(-0.8) scores worse then (0.0) and gives white advantage... But yet people play those and not this! Check it out! A mini tutorial below.

It's a better line than what title players sometimes choose to play, but yet never have. It scores better on the computer. And it does something that no other line does. Squashes the threat of the bishop hitting your weak f7 Pawn... Literally stops the attack before it starts, and there's nothing white can do about it!

Nice find! I think there are some similar ideas in some other lines of the Hillbilly but this looks pretty convincing to me.

And I seriously thank you for posting that, inspiration at its finest! I appreciate you!

If you could also post that on the YouTube video as well that would be swell my man.

Greetings and ramifications.

I watched the video. To me it's crux is based on a flaw in rationale.

At about the 1:05 mark it is narrated that that "if white does wish to fall a whole pawn behind then the only move is 4.exd5" or words to that effect.

I have  question: If white is going to be worried about the loss of a pawn then why play "The Hillbilly Attack" in the 1st place?? Isn't supposed to be a gambit??

A part from that, good video

After more than a month after learning of this defense I finally got to play it. The poor opponent was so baffled they blundered both bishops and a rook before resigning on move 13. Is there a way to print and frame chess games?
