Do you know a chess dvd that offers a complete 1.e4 repertoire for white?
Cherub_Enjel

Igor Smirnov's "Grandmaster's Openings Laboratory" is an option. However, some people may not like the openings he picks, nor the method of creating an opening repertoire.

I personally liked it a lot, but some others won't. It does give you a complete opening repertoire for white and black.

Sam Collins "1 e4 Repertoire" for ChessBase is decent (if you're looking primarily for ideas over move-by-move theory)

Thank you Cherub_Enjel and mln0 for the suggestions. I will take a close look at both.

As a 1.d4 player, i find it not easy to switch to 1.e4 without looking at some lines recommendations.

Repertoire books and DVDs I usually don't like- often they have weak spots and the authors don't like to reveal them. Even one which I quite liked, "A Cunning Opening Repertoire For White" by Watson (which is 1. d4, not e4) had some major flaws I recall.

TwoMove

Think Watson's one was strategic, and Burgess or somebody cunning, Smile. Whatever, they give a general approach and concept. If become popular later Author's will target particular lines, and will need to do a bit of work to repair them.

Why are you switching to 1.e4?  As a mainly 1.e4 player I'm curious as to what interests you about it.  Feel free to PM me about lines too, I can give you some good suggestions, I spend a decent amount of time on my opening repertoire.

I was playing d4 for years and i got very good results with it. But as you might know, d4 leads to strategical positions where you play for strategical advantages like winning space, improving piece placement, occupying key squares and lines, putting pressure, winning a pawn..etc..

But it doesn't often lead to tactical battles.

I feel like my strategical and positional understanding of chess has improved and i am satisfied with, but i'm not happy and satisfied with  my tactical and calculation skills, and think that i cannot improve them without jumping into tactical and sharp opening and positions.

Also, i found that the type of positions we get after 1.d4 are often boring and doesn't contain the exitment i feel in sharp and open positions.

The final reason is that i d4 doesn't give good results in blitz games, when you have to play aggressive and use tactics to win games.

For that reason, i have decided to switch to 1.e4 hoping to improve my tactical and calculation skills and also to have more fun.

All good reasons.  Good luck!
