I have now firmly secured a black opening now! I play the sicilian defence now and have learned alot about it!

But against a few opponents they play d4. Now the sicilian here does not really work to me so how would you react? I would usually play the king indian defence, but I don't know that defense really well.

Any tips?

Diagrams would be useful please!☺

THANK YOU!

Or you can reply with d5 and play the queen gambit accepted or declined. If declined, you can transform it into the semi slav defence.

I don't like KID.  Instead I go for 1... f5 (dutch defense)  as this takes most opponents out of their well memorized opening and into my well memorized opening.

Here's a recent game on one of my first tries at this defence.
