Daeth Trap

Well, the conclusion may be that Daeth finally felt in his own Daeth Trap, explaining why he never shows up.

At least it proves that the Daeth Trap opening could be a death trap for the white player too.

And at last it may be hold for true that Daeth really have an opening named after him. Of cours an extremely bad opening, but yet....

He openly admitted cheating on the forums and his account was closed. Though only to catch those who cheat (if you buy that).

I searched him after the thread disappeared and his account was still there with the note saying something like,'This account has been closed. If you think this was done in error, please contact support' (something to that effect) So I can only assume chess.com closed it, rather than him deleting it himself.

So they won't believe @Death was an engine user, until it's posted.

Intuitive Types (the oppressed 20% minority) will freely form their own conjectures.  And go merrily on their way.

I've come to realize that S stands for stupid.

The orignal challenge 9 months ago (or whatever) was for IM pfren.

Yep, but there was a game drawn against NM .. something with a "C", I just can't put my finger on it.. Actually had a pawn advantage up until the endgame and the NM said it was because he had blundered, and shouldn't have ignored the h pawn. Whether the opening is horrible or good, doesn't matter, it had about two nifty tricks to it. I would never open with the Ware, but I might against someone I knew didn't play the game much, just for fun, just like I might with the Daeth Tarp, even though I still haven't ;). Interesting info here on whether or not it was for cheating, as it stands, if he's not on the list of cheaters, it is likely he just closed it (whether or not he was cheating). I have reported players before and seen their name on the list, so if he did, he would be there..

Good story.  Sounds eminently plausible, as well.

Bridge has LONG history of cheating scandals.  Our chess scandals have only just begun.

Here the game, with some annotations from my side, that I have played with @Daeth. He has played his own opening very bad. His middle game on the other hand was very good.

Daeth has become the most notorious player on chess.com!

Hardly.  The Cheating Forum has a veritable rogues gallery to choose from.

@Dæth has just about had his 15 minutes.

Ha! I was looking for something like that when I posted it but no luck.

Especially us INTJ's .....ironically in light of your statement, there might be an incredibly "high concentration" of them on this site, as long as you don't hold it against me that they make up an incredibly small group of the general populous...

My overall conclusion to this story is that he was either smart enough to close his account or change his name, prior to his exile or he was confronted, denied it, said he mistyped his idea and then either left quietly closing his account or requested a new identity...

...inspite of my previous rhetoric, I think he did it...

I've noticed a lot of INTP here, along with the expected distribution of ISTJ
