have you tried game explorer here? you can click through just about any opening and see what happens.

Sorry if it's been asked before, but I'm determined to learn openings now - I'm wondering if anybody knows of a site or source that shows openings, and what happens when a gambit fails..or trap I guess. So 1) proper openings, and 2) this is what happens when opponent failed to see the poisoned pawn, etc., type of knowledge. Just on Youtube, it looked like every opening has some form of counter, almost seems to loop and what not.
