English Vs Reti Vs Queens Gambit Vs Bird VS Polish VS Grob Vs kings gambit
I play the Reti, and it's fantastic, especially when played Reti-style. Way better than the English because black can't play 1. ..e5.
The Orangutan (Polish, 1. b4) is much better than the Grob. A fellow in my local club was very dangerous with it, though it is too committal for my taste. I wouldn't call it unsound, but there are a number of ways black can parry the primary threats (c6 and d5 are especially good replies). The Grob can be sharp, but fundamentally weaker than the Orangutan.
I had a friend who beat masters with Bird's Opening, and he was a lot better than my other friend who played the Queen's Gambit (not that he was terrible, just not nearly as good). Bird's is tough to play with if you don't know what you're doing, though.
As for the King's Gambit, I highly recommend the Breyer Variation (1. e4 e5 2. f4 exf4 3. Qf3), when the logical Qh4+ (which Stockfish recommends, even at depth 20) fails to an avalanche of tactics. In fact, a few years back, I tried this in the club against Stockfish and came out of the opening up the exchange. Black can give back the pawn and be OK, but if he tries to keep the pawn he's toast.

@OP... Shuddup and take your favourite?! Apart from the Grob, or the KG... or the Polish. Rest are good. Grob... just a disgusting, bad opening. Worse than the Bird. Why?!

Ban the Grob. Hate that d,mn thing. Somebody plays Grob, I just abort. Same with the Bird. And the English.
If you are playing bullet the grob is alright as it causes hesitation which often leads to a solid time advantage.

Bruh that is ******** to abort because you don't like the opening. That's disrespectful behavior and not OK. Also it's incredibly stupid because you would have a better chance of winning if you played against inferior openings. Avoiding unavoidable openings does not improve your chess and is disrespectful to your opponent who has waited for a game.

But we have the right to abort... like voting rights?! And often, cheaters play weird openings to avoid suspicion. Anyhow, I hate the Grob. Not playing it. Or the Bird. Or other silly openings. Lion has spoken. Again.

Um...technically u can abort but u will be taken out and put into a frequent aborters pool of players after a while. Aborting is possible but the purpose is not to abort if u don't like ur opponent's first move, rather if u are suddenly unable to play. What u are doing is wrong and disrespectful to your opponents. Also, why do you refer to yourself in the third person?

Abortion should be legal, respectful and rare. A player has the moral right to withdraw from a match, if and when he choose. And the reason or reasons for termination of a viable game are not the business of the game providing authority. A player also, has the right to reference them and or their avatar with the third person descriptive. If Mr Lion choose to reference with I or Lion or other, not abusive descript... that constitutes the legal and moral right of Mr Lion and or another legal player. Lion maintains, therefore, the legal and moral right to refuse to play against Grob, Bird, Polish or whichever opening offered by the opponent. Lion will often abort v C4 opening also, and maintains a legal and moral right to choose a termination. Lion also accepts that too many abort games can and will result in a penalty lose of rating points. If @fizzyband or any other player feels not respected, tough sh,t.
