There is no "best opening", but d4 is suppost to be one of the sharpest openings. I would stick to e4 if your a beginner, and try to play italian or something...but if you want to get deep then play d4, e4 is more tactical for more exciting games.

If you are right-handed, 1.h3 can be lightning fast.

Just do what 30% of the 15-20 yr old kids do on Chess.com

Create a fake profile... say you are from a none English speaking country like Iran or Turkey. etc... (so you can appear legit ignoring your opponent as they questions your play) Get a VPN, so Chess.com can't detect the programs you have up and running. Then slap two monitors on your desk... on one screen... split it... put your opening data base on one side and a chess engine on the other...  Be sure to sync the chess engine to the Chess.com board on the other screen. (that way you get real time engine analyses... )  To avoid A.I Cheat detection play mostly from your opening's data base ... Then.... when are on your own .. salt in engine moves that are not in the top 3 candidates move that the engine says to play. *** Salt in... meaning just a dash to keep you from loosing.

IF you don't have an Opening Data base... set up your desk top the same as before, but open the game with moves that don't adhere to any opening principles... Salt in random pawn moves that don't make any sense (your choice)  random is the key... This confuses the A.I. Cheat parameters that Chess.com is using... Then once again when you get stuck, or the game starts to go south... only salt in computer moves sparingly ! Again stay away from the top 3 candidate moves

One last very thing... VERY important! only play those top candidate moves if it's obvious that that a human would play them... Making a move that is way above your fake elo is how you get caught...

Careful... people get caught because they get greedy for elo points... Once in a while ... go on a losing streak, like your tilting.. lol...

There you go... That is the fastest way to get good on Chess.com

Fastest for attacks is a really debated question, but fastest to learn and use would be the Italian or some variation like the Ponziani. They have simple structures and ideas.

However, the Italian is one of the most used openings, and people will know how to handle it. Some fine alternatives are the Vienna as white and Sicilian as black. Both are extremely flexible for any play style.

I wonder who you're talking to.

The guy who opened the topic 12 years ago? The guy who reopened it to talk gibberish about Scholar's mate? Or are you just yelling at the clouds?
