What are yout favourite openings and why? Do you play them often?

That is an interesting and difficult question. I don't play my aesthetically "favourite" openings because they are not ones which my chess talents (such as they are) tend towards and enable me to play to a satisfactory standard. I have wasted decades of my life on the King's Knight's Gambit and play it with some success, so I'm going to say that. But aesthetically I wish I could wrap my head round 1. e4, e5; 2. f4, ef; 3. Bc4. Or 1. c4, g5. I think I have a 100% loss rate with both, but both are far more aesthetically pleasing than what I am actually able to play.
