I've actually refuted the Fred defense with: 1. e4 f5 2. exf5 Nf6 3. Be2! (This novelty is a reversed Cunningham Defense to the King's Gambit where black hasn't played d5. This forces either Rg8 or g6 from black since the threat is Bh5+ winning.)
Not if Black ups the ante by playing the bongcloud inspired 3...d6 4. Bh5+ Kd7.
