Yes, Team Sicilian can play the KIA against the French Defense. I'm counting five for that side so far.
@verylate - We haven't had all of the Team French players from the last challenge to confirm yet. If one of them opts out, you can play on our side of this challenge.
Could someone check with @chamo2074, @Chessisish10, and @kingsindianattack7, and see if they're up for this challenge?
I updated the first board post. Still waiting on confirmation from the rest of Team French, and @Ravenclawesome is noted as conditional, if not enough Sicilian players can be found.

Yes, not confident about my matchup, but even if I don't win we've got a better roster around the ground... IMO Board 1 is EZ win for team french, 2000 correspondence player ( I say underrated his USCF OTB games are very high level play) is much better than 2000 bullet in correspondence at least.
The other ones we've simply got a higher rating
Yeah, I'm a little concerned about that, too. Especially since so many on Team French punch above their weight in the French Defense. If Team Sicilian can find just one more really good player, though, it should more or less even out.
Certainly not like the handicap we took against Team Caro, where every match except mine was a mismatch in their favor, at least according to the ratings.

Just one question, what if a player in team Sicilian transposes to a Nimzovitsch advance french, and what if a player with white from team Sicilian plays 2.Nf3 or 2.Nc3?
I think d5 should be forced unless 2. Qe2
Also, Sicilian players should not transpose into the advance french. Play d5 or Nf6

As for the rules, Team French does not have to play 2. ..d5 unless white plays 2. d4 (which they really should anyway). Team Sicilian has no restrictions after move 1.
@AustinL0926 - we can give Team Sicilian a few days to find another ringer, if you like. I was expecting a master or two to step up, but I guess @ThrillerFan scared them off.
What's the difference in some lines?
