latvian gambit!

Yes! The Latvian Gambit, while often shunned in top-level play, makes for very enterprising games......See World's Worst Openings!, posts #57, #73. Also, check out the Brussels Gambit: 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 f5!? 3.exf5 d5. Interestingly, this is the old line. Now, 3...Nh6!? is also considered playable.

The Brussels Gambit wins in all variations, except 5.Ne5! Observe:

Or he could play the Najdorf lol.

The Paulsen can be tricky

And what about the french? sacrificing that c5 pawn right from the start?

This is the french advance variation with the pawn gambit at c5! Its a really wild one to try.

I love this gambit!

Reasonable doubt ... the point of playing a gambit is to try to get an opening which may give you a momentary advantage that may be blocked up, but if used correctly can give black the win.

Or white a better line of attack. Or an extra tempo or two.

The Blackmar Diemer Gambit involves another move:

1.d4 d5 2.e4 dxe4 3.Nc3

The Blackmar Gambit is 1.d4 d5 2.e4 f3

The Blackmar Diemer Gambit is an improvement on the original Blackmar Gambit.
