Grünfeld Thread

If all we talk about is the Grunfeld, all I have to say about it is that it is my most hated opening in all of chess, and you will never again see it on my board with me as Black or White, and it has probably been over a decade since you have seen it on my board in over the board competition. Now the Anti-Grunfeld, 1.Nf3 Nf6 2.c4 g6 3.Nc3 d5 4.cxd5 Nxd5 5.e4 Nxc3 6.dxc3!! Qxd1+ 7.Kxd1 has been played on my board, specifically with me as White, many times.
But this garbage: 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 g6 3.Nc3 d5 - NO WAY JOSE!

That has to be craziest thing I have ever heard you say Thriller fan.
Anti-Gruenfeld is 1.Nf3?
Why stop their Thrilerfan?
We can call 1.e4 Anti-Gruenfeld as well.
As well as dozen other opening which doesn’t start with 1.d4.

In addition, your line isn’t really avoiding the Gruenfeld.
You played an incorrect move on Black side.
After 1.Nf3, Black can play d5.
Now the position is transposing back into a Gruenfeld.
Same position can be reached below move order
