HELP!: Getting Crushed by Quick Queen + Knight/Bishop Attacks

Personally I like seeing this as black.  Although being a Caro-Kann player it's not really an issue :D

If you're playing black why would you be upset when your opponent gives you a couple of tempi and allows you to equalise (or better) in the first few moves.  I think the proper defence to 2. Qh5 3. Bc4 has already been posted in this thread but I'll show it again in case anyone missed it.

There is another option where you simply let white have the pawn on e5 in order to get ahead in development...

I expect that many people that play this opening just don't know any better.  At low levels this shouldn't be all that surprising.

This opening killed my chess interest as a kid. i did fall for this alot and did not understand the game properly to defend against it so i gave up chess. even tho i fallen for it on Chess.com i now know how to defend this lame opening. im still bad at chess but now mabye i can improve and playing the game. trying to outsmart the other player and building tactics  and all the fun stuff :) because this game is really fun when you have made it through opening without falling into traps.

This is what an early queen opening leads to, especially with black, when you are one move behind. Just look at this position. I have a huge positional advantage over black. My pieces are coordinated. My pawn structure is very imposing. I have lots of attacking options available. My pieces are very coordinated. And ... his queen is hiding at one corner of the board, barely managing to protect it's crotch from annoying attacks by my soldiers. One thing to keep in mind here is to try and pressurize him using a new piece every time. That way, your pieces would be all in full swing while his pieces would still be living in stone age.
