How can i play this better?

I played a line against the friend, a common line of the alapin sicilian. We played several times and got to very similar situation, that goes like this for example:

Is there any way that white (me) can play better here? I guess there is, we played it on blitz games and i don't really had time yet to look deeply at the position, but i'd still be happy if you can suggest your improvments.

e5 is premature. Finish development before you open up the position (get your king out of the center and your rooks into the game first!)

I agree with clunney.

I like White after 8. Rc1 followed by Bd3 and 0-0 There's no need to push e5 as in the future you may prefer to have played d4-d5!

Of course, if he inteds to break with ...d5, you will probably reach a great position after e5, so I think his best plan would be to play something with ...e5, but it'll be on your advantage

2. d6 is not common at all and is rather a mistake.

on move 7 you have to choose how to arrange your pieces. what you did was exchange pieces and create weaknesses in the center that you once had.

after any decent developing scheme white will have a comfortable edge because he has more space. at some point black will have to go d5 when e5 gives a improved french. maybe playing a quick d5 could be considered. for example 1. e4 c5 2. c3 d6 3. d4 cxd4 4. cxd4 Nf6 5. Nc3 Nc6 6. Nf3 e6 7. d5!? exd5 8. exd5

Ne5 9. Bb5+ Bd7 10. O-O Nxf3+ 11. Qxf3 Be7 12. Bd3  with an advantage in space and activity

Alright, thank you all. Don't forget it's a blitz game, it's not like i really had time to think this through. By the way, what should be doing my light square bishop there?

This is after just a casual look, but how about Bd3 or Ne4 and then Bd3?

I mean if i don't play the e5 move, which i think is a mistake.
