How many pawns can you soundly sacrifice in one opening?

I know there are some triple pawn sacrifices but does it go further? :-)

I sacrificed three once in the evans gambit and got a draw

I have had a few people in OTB tournament play do this, but its never worked out for them.  But i now its played, so it must work at times.

Try the Poisoned Pawn Najdorf.  This line gives away four, with an offer of a fifth.

All completely sound -- the engine will confirm if you run it to sufficient depth.
