This is a Damiano Defence. After white plays 2. Nf3, black plays 2... f6?. You may think black is doing well F pawn defending the central E pawn. However, this is a worse way to defend your pawn. The better options would be 2... Nc6, Nf6, or d6 and more. After f6, White has a brilliant idea.
In this postion white can sacrifice the KNIGHT!! (3. Nxe5!!). For black, the best move is to play 3... Ne7 That block the queen checking. But most players end up playing 3... fxe5. Then, white has a stunning 4. Qh5+!(only move that works!)
Black has 2 options:
2. Play 4... Ke7. White's best move is to keep checking with 5. Qxe5+ capturing the central pawn. Black plays the only move: 5... Kf7(forced). With the same idea, White checks again 6. Bc4+. Now, Black has to be careful...
Black plays 6... Kg6??. Black blundered because white can mate black in 11!. After the following moves, White can deliver checkmate.
For black's best move is to play 6... d5. White can capture with a check 7. Bxd5+. Black can naturally slide to 7... Kg6 (Best move). You can't mate now because the bishop is protecting the f5 square, but you will have a +3 advantage. Your bishop and queen are both active, black has a weak central pawn.
