I play golf like Tiger Woods, which clubs should I get?

Tal's dead, so I expect that most of us play better than he does now.

I always thought i did too, reminds me of 1967 when we played at the PGA tour in the breaks for the fans. I new a good golf set was all i needed to turn pro but, i was finishing up Harvard at that time and then playing the oboe professionally took up most of my time. I new a guy from outer Beirut who could play the guitar and drums at the same time, finished up lobster fishing with Alzheimer's after the transatlantic cruse in 1982. We played chess in the spare time we got, (not a lot both being full time politicians) I usually won obviously but he was good, probably around 2783 elo by my guess. I wasn't interested in chess that much then though, after I nearly won the world open, i did get a bit more motivation but then i Karpov refused those lessons i asked for in 1968 so not surprising. Maybe if i got a $2000 DGT board to play against i might play more otb but after i became a full time mortician in 2008 i expect i'd struggle to make a comeback into the top 10.

Did i do good @Optimissed ?

I play basketball like Michael Jordan, where can I learn to dribble?

The OP said he played in the style of Tal. He never claimed he played as well as Tal.

As white I suggest the King's Gambit against 1...e5. Against the C-K I suggest the advance variation. Against 1.d4 I suggest the Benoni.

You could study Tal's games to find out his repertoire.

We all know what OP really meant. I am also aware that OP didn't log in for the past 3 years.

Ur 1000 stop blundering

It occurred to me that around 1000 rating everyone plays in the style of Tal: lots of sacrifices, not all completely sound… I played through the last few blitz games he played here and that was for his rating pretty decent. He's probably on another site with a much better rating now.

No. Tal played chess, not blunder game
