I am a big fan of the sicilian.  Provides the best winning chances for black against 1.e4.

Don't play the Scandinavian.  After 1.e4   d5   whites next move is almost always exd forcing black to bring their queen out.  After 2... Qxd5 white is able to develop while putting pressure on blacks queen.

For some reason I seem to see the Scandinavian a lot in blitz games, but I never understand why.  I'm sure its a 'sound' opening, but it seems weak, especially when compared to blacks other options.  According to games explorer, it's the 8th most common response to 1. e4, and it give white the best winning chances compared to the 7 more common openings.

I would still say if you want to improve at chess you should learn the sicilian.  Not only is it probably the strongest response to 1.e4 for black, but you will also learn how to play against it.

Petrov defense is very solid 1.e4 1...e5 2.Nf3 2...Nf6 3. Nxe5 3...d6 or (3...Qe7)

if 2.Nc3 black could play dxe4, and after nxe4 play Qd5!! and after Nc3 we have a scandinavian again..

scandinavian 1.e4 d5 2.exd5 Qxd5 3.Nc3 Qa5 is a possibility.

In the event of 1. e4 d5 2. Nc3 dxe4 you are playing white's game.  He is trying to lure you into the Blackmar-Diemar Gambit (BDG), more normally reached by 1. d4 d5 2. e4 de 3. Nc3 Nf6 4. f3  etc.  (2. d4 works better but BDG players can be a little off)  You could play the straight forward d4 or continue solidly with c6, e6, ... 2. Nc3 really isn't a very good move.  Playable perhaps but it gives up hope of an advantage.

ok thanks.I want to add that i know the italien or spanish good,i am looking for sth good.And please,because i searched it,after 1.e4 d5 2.exd5 Nf6! 3.c4 e6! 4.dxe6 Bxe6 5.d4 Bb4+ 6.Bd2 Qe7 7.Bxb4 Qxb4+ 8.Qd2 Nc6 9.Nc3 black plays9... 0-0-0!with a very good development...

VaJohn

Finally one more question,what should black play after 1.e4 c5 2.Nc3   ?

VaJohn

ok thx

It is easier for Black to steer the opening into tactical lines with 1... c5 than it is with 1... e5.  In addition, 1... c5 creates immediate imbalances that must be addressed and can be used (by both sides) to mix it up.
