Is fried liver attack Good??

Sure if white plays this way (horrible!), this is winning for black...
On 8...Nb4, a3 losing a tempo and giving Nxc2 for free? It was played by Shirov but not good.
Move 9 : Qe4, Bb3, Kd1 (I would be reluctant to play such a move), and 0-0 are all good. Thought Qe4 and Bb3 are probably more to the point.
And then u give 11.Qxd5 trading queens? White is material down and has to attack the black, no way to trade queens!
Fried liver (defined by 5...Nxd5 6.Nxf7) is of course very dangerous and black shouldn't go into this mess. Maybe black can hold with an engine, but 5...Nxd5 is just too provocative and risky to be good at practical chess.

Nxd5 being bad, black searched and found other ways like Na5, Nd4, and b5. Na5 being the "normal" move
Sure there is Traxler but let's see why Na5 :
We could talk about many deviations, but it was just a brief analysis to introduce some ideas.

It is good, under the sense that it gives Black a very tough defensive task.
But it is not leading to something like a forced advantage, and it can also be tough for white at times- e.g. the move you are suggesting (9.a3?) practically loses by force to 9.a3? Nxc2+ 10.Kd1 Nxa1 11.Nxd5 Qh4!

its great for white.
why would black go into this willingly is beyond me.
after 7. Na5 Bd3 white has a better pawn structure. and that's the best outcome for black out of this opening.

If it is a blitz game, then white loses, as 7. Na5 is an illegal move.
And I admit it is nice to be able to claim "I was smashed, but I had the better pawn structure".

I disagree I think black is fine.

I used to play a man in the park and I beat him regularly playing the Fried Liver Attack. He was not a very good player at that time nor was I. But a good player can defend against against the Fried Liver Attack so it depends on who you are playing.

yeah I like that opening a lot, very aggresive yet dangerous. But normally your opponent will not allow you to play that by saying attack your bishop instead of taking the pawn etc
