Objectively speaking, 5...Nxd5 is a better move than 5...b5 (or 5...Nd4). The problem with it is that is very tough to defend Black's position OTB.
Since when is the fritz variation bad,?did not find any artice. I only playthis sometimes since it leads to a borish endgame if boh play right.
Since ever. The Ulvestad and the Fritz lead almost by force to the same pawn down ending which is far from boring and difficult to prove full compensation for Black.
