Is Scotch opening good for a beginner??

I am currently playing English and just wanted to know if I can play Scotch as it looks fun.

"as it looks fun" ++ Any opening can lead to fun or to dull positions. Each time you switch openings, you lose more, as it takes games and losses to accumulate experience.

I love the scotch but be aware that most other people at your level likely won't play expected moves. Also, I would suggest studying middle and endgames instead of learning theory
