not so cramped on the queenside :) 

Black tends to lack space in many openings if not all just depends on where and how you deal with it.

This is how I normally respond as black:

White can fianchetto his bishop on g2 later in the game.

That is if Morphy had modern chess knowledge.

We could say that about Lasker and Steinitz also.
