King's gambit style as white against French defense

You might take a look at the Alapin (Diemer) Gambit (variation) or the Diemer-Duhm Gambit. Both involve f3 rather than f4 after sacking the e-pawn but the knight recaptures on f3 with the open f-file similar to some KG lines and the play is exciting gambit style. These lines aren't the soundest in the world. I usually run into a position where if Black plays h6 you sack a piece there and win, but Black doesn't have to play h6. That kind of thing.
