Kings Indian Attack: what to play against the Symmetrical defense?

Hello,
I like playing the KIA but recently I was facing the problem: How to respond if black just copies for a while?
Here is a variation which illustrates it better: Nf3 Nf6 g3 g6 Lg2 Lg7 0-0 0-0 d3 d6... .
I have already looked a little bit at c4 or d4 instead of castles and didnt found much (But think c4 is a little bit better in practice because it leads to more "interesting" positions then d4 but Im not completly convinced). If someone is facing the same problem or just has a tip how to solve this problem it would be nice if he/she could share his/her thoughts.
I don't play the KIA, but have experimented with the Reversed Grunfeld, which is similar, and I think the best thing to do is god d4, c4, Nc3 much earlier, as you get the full center if black takes.
i think this actually belongs to the fianchetto grunfeld. i remember the setup is supposed to be bb2, nc4 and a4, trying for some queenside play.

I'm not a Grunfeld player so I'm not sure if Grunfeld would be better or not but here are some example lines (these are not the best moves it's just an example).
I don't like lines that allow black to trade off the queens because we are playing as white so we should try to get a win but if you are an endgame master then I think you should try it.
oves.

You just want a non symetrical game, I understand. So the longer you have to go without making a central pawn thrust the more likely you are to end up in a double fianchetto game, or worse a game with the same central pawn. If black is refusing to commit there is not much you can do. Just have to learn all the openings and decide how to transpose to something else. I know KIA isnt double fianchetto, just a fact that you have to make a move so either commit a central pawn or go hipppo, what else can you do? Btw, hippo you can choose which side to expand and attack from and which pawn breaks to use.
