Latvian Semi-Slav

I am an aggressive d4 player and am thinking about picking up the Latvian Variation against the Semi-Slav. (7. g4)  Does anybody have good experience with it?  Would you recommend it for a strong club player looking to further his attacking skills?  Thanks.  For anybody who doesn't know what I am talking about it, here it is.

I'm not sure how helpful this is but i'm player in the reverse position. I'm starting to learn the slav as black and it's this type of position that has me interested in this opening. It seems to me that the slav has become the sicilian of the d4 world that is: highly unbalanced fascinating positions that have little to do with the word draw. My one reluctance is for the same reason the  slav has become one of the most analyzed openings around and this puts me off (I have a bad memory and i don't like winning because I've done my "homework" better than my opponent) If you want I'd be willing to try some themed games where I defend the black side of this and we could both learn

A really telling point to how good it is:  David Vigorito, who wrote Play the Semi Slav, said this in his book.  The Latvian Variation is deadly against an unprepared player, but even against accurate play, White can obtain a slight edge.
