Spit at the opponent's face.
jokes aside. try the berlin defense then. or the dutch.

I know what you mean...As black I think you can do this against all white first moves except 1e4. Although their are some defences as black like the Latvian and the Schliemann against the Ruy - but they may not be as good as other alternatives. Then of course, white doesn't have to play Nf3 after 1e4 e5...
You might find in the long run that you will have to learn to punch with your other hand and play on the queenside. Perhaps follow Fischer's use of the Sicilian. The Open Sicilian will give you a central pawn majority if you can take a couple of punches.
Fischer was always up to attack his opponents kingside when he could 1e4 as white and KID against 1d4 as black, but perhaps realised that chess has to be played on it's terms rather than his...but yes, I used to play for attack against my oppoents kingside wether it met the demands of the position or not ...
Try out the French Defense, it's about the most closed the center get's in a 1. e4 opening. Often people think black is limited to playing on the queen-side in the French, but that is not true, almost nine times out of ten I windup playing on the king-side, with pawn breaks such as f6, which usually opens the f-file for attacks.
Good advice also...Our club board one plays this and will always choose an opening that maximises kingside attack chances..
c5.. the Sicilian. Then on the other hand if you had to ask then opening play doesn't matter. Want to improve? Focus on getting better at chess.
Learn how to think. Evaluate the position. Who is better and why. Equal position, then improve your position. Only attack when you have the advantage. If you blunder much, then do tactics everyday until you don't.
Dream scenario: you don't blunder pieces or pawns. You get your pieces out within 10 moves or so without getting the worst position in most games against equal opposition.
You cramming opening theory won't win you games against better opponents! Why? Because they are better at evaluating and calculating AND opening theory. But it isn't the opening theory wins the game for them. Independent thought is key! Chess is a search for truth. Openings are part of that but it alone won't cut it. Ok enough ranting.. good luck!
Probably wouldn't want to have it as your main 1.e4 defense, but you could add the Gunderam Defense to your repertoire. It looks goofy but is playable and would probably give you chances for creative play on the kingside. I doubt your opponents would be familiar with it.

I like d5 if I want to throught them off.
How does playing the Scandinavian throw any e4 player off?
After watching so many IM Bartholomew's videos on YouTube, the scandinavian is a great solid opening. The Qd8 line can be very hard to crack.
This is the most offensive reply to e4
1: e4
1: ...You don't threaten me english pig-dog! Go and boil your bottom, son of a silly person! I blow my nose at you so-called king! You and all your silly chess piiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiecesss BTTHTHTHLLLLLBTHTTBTHLL
2: d4
2: ...I don't want to talk to you no more you empty headed-animal. Food-trough water. I fart in your general direction! Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries!
3: e5
3: ...I shall unplug my nose in your direction you son of a window-dresser! So you think you can outclever me with your silly knees-bent running about advancing behavior. I wave my private parts at your anties you cheesy second-hand electric donkey bottom biter!
4: e6
4: ...No chance you bedwetting type! I burst my pimples at you and call your play a silly thing you tiny-brained wiper of other people's bottoms!
0 - 1
I used to play the Scandinavian back when it was called the Center Counter as a way to not spend a lot of time before a tournament studying everything under the sun against 1.e4
Results varied widely.
... In reply to 1. e4 I would like to know the most offensive openings you all know. I usually play the Scandinavian ... but, I'm getting known for using the Scandinavian and people are starting to beat me again because they know what to use in reply to it and personally, it doesn't fit my play style. ... I would be so grateful for either more closed up lines of the Scandinavian or lines on the King's Indian as I played the Indian for 3 years and know quite a bit about it! ...
I don't know that it is really possible to give you what you want, but, if you want to explore these suggestions,
Try Pirc/Modern defense, ...
1.....c5 of course! ...

Here is a quote from the Emms book.
"Two-thirds of this book deals with 'Open Sicilian' positions, in which White plays 2 Nf3 followed by 3 d4. This is by far the most common way for White to meet the Sicilian. White opens more lines for his pieces and attempts to exploit the fact that he will be ahead in development.
Let's take a look at the possible opening moves 1 e4 c5 2 Nf3 d6 3 d4 cxd4 4 Nxd4 ... . White is up in development and can move his pieces more freely. Black, however, has a structural advantage of an extra central pawn, which gives him long-term chances of taking control of the centre. A typical imbalance has arisen. The onus is on White to exploit his lead in development in order to secure an early initiative. If White plays passively or his initiative runs out of steam, then typically it's Black, with the better pawn structure, who enjoys the long-term chances. Thus it's quite rare for a state of 'dull equality' to arise. Often in the Sicilian, if Black 'equalizes', he is already slightly better! This structural advantage is seen in most Open Sicilian lines: for example, the Dragon, the Najdorf, the Scheveningen and the Classical Variations. The major exception to this rule is the Sveshnikov Variation, in which Black accepts pawn weaknesses in return for activity." - GM John Emms (2009) in Starting Out: The Sicilian, 2nd Edition
Thank you everyone for your replies, I know what I'm going to be doing for the rest of the morning....
Thanks again!

Hi all!!
I have been playing chess for nigh on 6 years now and have had a rather bumpy ride but I want to get back to the top in my chess club.
My play style used to be very closed and super defensive. But in the last year, I've had a complete change of heart and now go for as offensive and shocking as possible. I try to not give me opponent time to do ANYTHING. But, seeing as white moves first, black is immediately at a disadvantage. In reply to 1. e4 I would like to know the most offensive openings you all know. I usually play the Scandinavian (1...d5) because it's a no s*** reply and white has to make a decision, they aren't able to carry on with 2. Nf3 which is the normal reply to 1...e5 but, I'm getting known for using the Scandinavian and people are starting to beat me again because they know what to use in reply to it and personally, it doesn't fit my play style. I like positions where there is a gigantic mass of pawns in the centre then I play round onto the kings side and make breaks using moves like f5. Similar to this game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0G8HEH0aKpo but that is in reply to the Queens Pawn opening.
So, I would be so grateful for either more closed up lines of the Scandinavian or lines on the King's Indian as I played the Indian for 3 years and know quite a bit about it!
Thanks in advance,
DreddTrekkiter
