Need help retrieving an obscure(?) line in the French Winawer Poisoned Pawn

The best account of the theory of the 10. Kd1 line is given by John Moles in his book "The French Defence Main Line Winawer" (Batsford 1975). Though 1975 is a long time ago (there must be grandmasters today whose *parents* were not born then), much of the analysis is still good. In particular, 13... f6 from the game above was rescued from obscurity by Moles. See http://www.irlchess.com/2016/01/18/from-moles-main-line-winawer/ for background.

Thanks, Sean for your interesting info. I hadn't heard of John Moles' book. I'll probably look at these lines in depth next time i face the French in a Daily game (which could be a while since it's not too popular an opening around these parts...)

Interesting stuff the 10Kd1 line. Probably the most famous game is the first game in Tal v Botvinnik match.

Will check that game out (i prob already have but since forgotten)! It's been well over 20 yrs since i've played 10.Kd1 against French as i took a long break from chess until joining this site last yr. What's wrong with Bristol congress? ¬_¬
