It should be your second name.

How do i go about verifying the fact is their a world  body

dashkee94

Sorry, bud, but the world gets to decide what the name will be.  The Spanish Opening is the Ruy Lopez, the Russian Game is the Petroff Defense, and a variation like the Larsen-Santasaire is now the Grand Prix Attack.  And no one really knows where the term "Indian" came from for the King's Indian, Queen's Indian, Nimzo-Indian, and Bogo-Indian.  So good luck with that and here's to hoping that the world agrees with you.  But you will need to submit the line to public scrutiny and let the public have their say.  That being said, what do you have?

nukiwaza

As dashkee94 points out there is no standards body for chess. Opens get named because people need to call them something and they start agreeing to call it somthing.

Take your opening out to a major tournament, score well against a few GMs and they will ask you what you call it. If that plan does not work for you then your probably out of luck.

Well thanks all for the advice i will take it on board i am suprised its not in the data base

Well it will have to be studied by people twice you're rating and GM's. And then it will be put in the book openings. So can you please post a Diagram of this opening ?

Very interesting. Not in the chess.com database? Is it a gambit?

You could send new opening ideas to newinchess. Wink

Jason112

i would have it checked out again if the variation is solid and without flaws, then consider naming it, or even make sure it isn't already in the books.

merchco

I am not sure if its in the books but it looks fairly solid and it is not in the data base of coarse if i post the opening its possible for others to claim it but its pretty solid
