The daeth opining is surprisingly powerful and relatively unknown. This opining was invinted on chess.com and gaurantees a high success rate.
Particularly Successful Openings on Chess.com

I've heard good things about the Ponziani opening. If the game starts out with them playing e5 instead of the sicilian defense you can go:
1. e4 e5
2. Nf3 Nc6
3. c3 Nf6
4. d4

I almost never see people playing gambits at my level, although it's probably differet for people playing at your level.

Gambits tend to be popular, successful gambits include.(only including true Gambits)
King's Gambit
Evan's Gambit (not as popular but still common)
Danish gambit
Smith Mora
Benko
Budapest
and some occasional wierd stuff.
Many anti Sicilians are very popular.
Wait... do you consider that not to be a gambit because of the fact that you get good development and you get back the pawn anyways?

the only reason it isn't considered a Gambit is because There is no Reasonably sound way for black to hold on to the pawn. the development is not an issue.

2 gambits that I play in blitz and otb regularly and with success are:
1. e4 d5 2. pxp c6, 3. pxp nxp - lots of interesting play but not too sound.
My current favorate gambit is 1. d4 nf6 2. g4, pxp 3. e4 - There is only 1 line that I think does not lead to white getting a terrible position and I have a 75% record with it in 2 games otb against a GM & FM.

you see, it has already made a legacy
well I remember it for slightly negative reasons, but yes the opening may not be the best.
Hi! This is my first post on the forums; I hope I'm not breaking any forum rules.
In any case, have any of you noticed a particular opening working well on chess.com in particular? I've only played a few games so far, but it seems like a lot of players can't handle the Petrov.
Have you noticed any openings that cause your opponents here more stress than others?
