No, there is nothing wrong with playing 1.d4 exclusively. If it's your thing, play it until you get bored of it and genuinely want to try something else.
Playing 1.d4 exclusively

I used to do the same thing...until I realized you can only do boungcloud with e4 (well you CAN do it with d4, but it's much more difficult).

I play 1d4 the great majority of the time. Do what fits your personal taste. 1d4 openings tend to be a little less critical in terms of move order and more likely to go to a positional rather than tactically sharp middle game, as compared to 1e4 openings. There are exceptions, of course, but thats the general rule. In any case I would rather play against a King's Indian than a Sicilian. Its just a matter of what you like.

Loving the profile pic ivandh. Bongcloud rules!
I'm a guy who likes to mix it up a bit more. As white I usually play e4 and can play a variety of different openings to a little depth, but not in detail. Sometimes I play c4.
If I'm playing someone on Live Chess over a series of games, I try not to use the same opening twice, however. So, in a series of six games, I played e4, c4 and b3 as White. As Black, I replied to 1 d4 with Nf6,f5 and b6. I even respond h6 occaisionally. I just like to mix it up, but there's nothing wrong whatsoever with playing the same each time. Just that it gets repetitive :-)
Hi everyone, I'm new to this website and this forum.
As white, I always play 1. d4. When I first started playing chess, I would experiment with 1.e4 and 1.d4, but after a while I found that I was more comfortable playing 1.d4, and ever since I have played 1.d4 exclusively. Is this good or bad? My game has improved tremulously in recent years, and I put this down to mostly playing 1.d4 exclusively, and becoming very good at playing against the common defences against 1.d4. I feel it is better to focus on either 1.e4 or 1.d4 and the common defences to these openings than to try to be the jack of all trades but master of none.
