Polish Defense (Viable?)

The Polish Defense is not particularly good, and that's not the right way to play it either, in that game.
However, it's not refuted, and there are transpositions from move 2 in certain positions that are considered respectable. The St. George defense, which is closely related, was played by IM Michael Basman for most of his career, and he beat many strong players with it--including Karpov at his peak. I'd suggest looking at Basman's games if you're interested.
