i do not know if this has already been posted or not...but i remember reading on a forum somewere that we got a prize for geting over 1000 member piont's.Is this true????

exiledcanuck

is gaining 1ooo points not enough for you?

I believe that it is true... but if the site even begins to suspect you are just posting for the prize they have the option of not giving it to you.  Don't feel hard done by though, I hear they donate the prize to a respectable charity.

The post you speak of is from a long time ago, and it applied to the first person to reach that level. There have been several people to reach it since that time, and the reward is no longer valid.... sorry.
Quetzalcoatlus
It would only encourage spamming anyway.

ya that is becomeing obviese to me because i have 1111 member pionts and iv gotten nothing....but don't you all think we should get like a chess.com T for 1000 pionts.
sstteevveenn
well maybe you could have the option of a special exclusive design chess.com T, but you'd have to pay for it yourself.  I think it would get quite expensive otherwise!

Well if it's 1000 points meaning 1000 short comments with no insight: "First. Easy.", then I'm not sure how that values. However a 1000 points is a lot of posts proving that you spend a lot of time on chess.com.

If this is true, then I think we should do something like voting the member of the month who gets one free month of membership, and the member of the year who gets one free year of membership. Criterias for electing prime members would be points, opponant rating (a good idea to check on people's behavior during games), but then a public vote with 10+ candidates, each chosen by chess.com staff.
