Sicilian?

The kan Sicilian is really good. I recommend Molton's video on YouTube. It's quick, to the point, teaches all the critical lines and how to deal with the crap

Also don't worry about explorer. You can get something ten times better completely for free on lichess

The Moroczy really crunches down on black’s space, makes for a very uncomfortable game most of the time
I’d recommend the Najdorf. Despite being the most complicated, it’s actually kind of balanced between positional and tactical play and really does teach how to play a certain position. If that doesn’t appeal to your taste, the Classical’s a nice option to explore. Maybe try the Taimanov

taimanov is kinda boring in the Nxc6 lines. id recommend the dragon but you gotta know a million moves of theory to survive. id recommend the najdorf but theres like boatloads of theory and you never know which of the many variations white will play. and anything else that allows c4 is typically not great
conclusion: learn the sveshnikov

Yeah the sveshnikov’s good but natural play isn’t really allowed, and a more positional player would feel very uncomfortable with black’s million weaknesses
but at least you get the initiative 💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥🔥😜😜😜

i honestly think positional players are agianst chess and should quit the game. learn the play chess the way it was intended

chess was created to win in the most beautiful ways possible. it was created to simulate war not whatever this ¨positional¨ stuff is

Bro's rated 600 rapid wdym by "najdorf"?

What if there aren't any tactics available? Are you just supposed to fall asleep?

thats why d4 players exist. they keep tactics to a minimum and hope you fall asleep at the board

I’m not sure about that.
Its very satisfying to exert positional pressure and watch your opponent collapse quickly out of no where.
e4 is over played where as in a positional game, it’s more subtle for your opponents to know what your plans are.

in a positional game the draw rate goes up and tbh you cant ¨positionally squeeze¨ somebody who knows how to play the QGD as black

d4 players avoid e4 because e4 is more tactic filled and they dont want to learn how to crush somebody with tactics

I don’t mind a draw, as in most cases I target players 200+ rapid points above me.

Not necessarily, I’ll play into middle game plans that I am familiar with, build up the positional pressure to set-up the tactics or winning end game.
Why wouldn’t I take a winning position?
Over cheap thrills like a Fried Liver or Stafford….
