Please tell me your opinion about it:

According to chesstempo's database, it was first practised by Siegfried Wolf in the period 1921-35. explorer.png

The variation is not defined yet...

Wolf variation : first time i heard it but anyway as I said, the line is not defined yet, it is just a transpositional move.

Can become a KIA, a Closed sicilian, a big clamp, and even a Botvinnik English...

I have high opinion of closed sicilian, while the others are reliable too : but white doesn't play alone so according to black's set up, one of the 4 variations i gave is better or worse.

Let me add something IMPoucin doesn't know.

2...d6 is the Sheep defense , considered too risky against the Wolf variation.

You welcome!

I guess that Lamb defense sounds better. wink.png

Wolf variation was known in Germany as the Adolf Hitler variation. Before WW2.

Hitler was a very goos chess player. Only his endgame sucked.
