System against c4...and a good Quiet safe line against Sicilian Kan..

Well i have a dvd on counterng the english opening i think it goes something like this you either have to challenge the knight on c3 then try to exchange it as soon as possible and try to exchange the white squared bishops by playing bishop e6 and queen d7 aiming for the h3 square

Also note that on the youtube channel i think gm alejandro rameriez does diffently talk about his experience with the english symmetrical opening not only for white but also black aswell u might be able to get a feel how black comes up with solutions

Check the st louis chess club on youtube and look for alejandro rameriez he has 2 lectures i think one of them is the english opening symmetrical variation and hold ill tell you the lines in a lil bit i have things to do but ill post them later on
