Almost any opening is perfectly playable at below-Master level.

This seems the way to go as black rather than drag the king out.  If the goal of the opening is to commit suicide, then its no good.  All the "lines" provided in the wiki are better for white.

I think Clyde has played 2. f5 position similar to this: http://www.chess.com/blog/BigGStikman/franco-hiva-gambit Playing it with f5 first and the intention to sac 2 pawns might not even be as good as his published line with e6 before f5, but I feel this kind of play is at least as good a try as 2.. Nf6 as Black if not better, practically speaking.

doesn't seem so bad

It is just horrible. You give up a pawn for nothing. It just weakens your king side and makes it very difficult to develop. If you want your opponent to win the game you can resign, there is no need to play opening that helps it.

Although you may play it in blitz, for blitz almost any opening good.

the Fred wins by force.

2...Nf6 is losing.

2...Nh6 is the only move that allows Black to survive the opening and still possibly have a game of chess.  (.: 3.Qh5+ Nf7)
